Well done to all involved in the successful seasons of the above four teams.

Andrew Gaff - NAB AFL Rising Star Nominee
Congratulations go to Andrew Gaff, in his first year at West Coast, for being nominated as the Rising Star nominee for Round 19. Andrew, who played for the Comets throughout his junior years, has now played 9 games for West Coast after being taken at Pick #4 in the 2010 National Draft.
In Round 19 he played his best game to date against the Bulldogs, with 31 possessions, 8 marks, 5 tackles and two fine goals. It was a polished performance for such a young player, and he was rightly named as one of the best players on the day.

As reward for having a former player nominated, Kew Comets will be the recipients of an excellent package from the NAB.

Well done Andrew!

Kew Comets received a number of items from NAB in a presentation held on Saturday 13th August.  These included $1000, footballs, books, CDs and training aids.

Pictured with Andrew Gaff, are Simon Purssey and Peter Rice from NAB, and our upcoming Comets stars.  Peter's son Harry plays for the Comets in U/9's.

Thanks to the AFL, NAB and we wish Andrew all the best in the upcoming AFL finals.
